Athena Addams – Passed July 2020
We received and confirmed information that one of our long time models and performers passed earlier this month. Athena Adams was 34, and died in Los Angeles we have no further details at this point and are unwilling to speculate.
Originally from New Orleans, she first worked for Grooby in 2004, in Detroit where she had relocated to. She worked in a number of solo and hardcore scenes across our sites and productions from 2004-2009, and after an extended hiatus and a relocation to Los Angeles continued working with Blackula and Buddy Wood. During this time she also worked with Pure-TS, and ran her own website for a time.
Although she hadn’t appeared on a website since 2016, she was active on Twitter (@AthenaAddams) as recently as May and had attended recent Transgender Erotica Awards events.
Personally, I’d met her a number of times and always found her energetic, lively and engaged person who was easy to talk to. She was a popular performer and appeared at least 25 times on Grooby websites.
We will post further details should we get them.

this is always sad to read i do not know why I put myself through this I remember her early sets with yum which was the version of her that I loved but all in all a great model loved her work
Tess I’m going to miss you. You were the first trans girl that I got real close to. I had wanted to try and build a relationship with you. I even remember joking with you a little about wanting to marry you. It’s kinda funny, but I did mean it secretly deep down inside. You were fun to be around and always had your mind on the future. I’ll miss you friend, I will cherish our convos and all the memories share… I can still remember your voice. I just wish I would have told u how amazing and brave you are. I met you as Rebekah in New Orleans at Oz night club. You came back to our place for an after party. My husband and i instantly loved you as one of our own. We Had some amazing times togeather we danced the dance floor straight intio the heavens nightly. We walked every cat walk like it was the last runway ever always. we loved hard and you and i fought hard to. I never wanted to harm you in anyway. I just wanted you to know how extrodinary you were and how bright you star was. I remeber the day you told me youd die early in life like like a shooting star in the heavens just for a brief moment would any of us see how bright you were and we did.
