The Tranny Awards Nominations Are In!

Los Angeles, Grooby Productions announces that the nominations for the Third Annual Tranny Awards have been published and judging and public voting has begun.

The Tranny Awards has grown substantially and attracted sponsorship from all the major transgender adult companies, such as Shemale Strokers, Shemale Profit, SMC Revenue, Gamma Entertainment and Grooby. Categories include “Best Solo Model”, “Best Hardcore Model”, “Best DVD Performer”, “Best Non-TS Performer” and “Best Up & Cummer” as well as website and DVD categories, with $1000 cash prizes going to the winners in the model categories and stunning crystal trophies for all. The award show will also include the “Lifetime Achievement Awards” which can go to models or producers.

For the first time, some categories can be voted on by fans. Grooby CEO, Steven Grooby stated, “After last years award show we asked how it could be improved and the overall feedback was that the fans wanted to get more involved, so all the website model categories are available as well as a new “Wildcard” Award which is for the most popular model, with no other criteria. ” The other change this year is that the awards winners will be announced at the show, to keep the anticipation and excitement up until the last minute.

“I was very excited this year to see the amount of sponsors that we attracted, from the largest companies like Gamma to solo girl sites like Krissy4u.” Grooby continued “All the sponsorship money goes directly to models prizes. All the sponsors see this as giving something back to the transgender model and fan community. This event was created out of a need, as no other adult awards recognized the transgender area of our industry with the respect it deserves.

The award show will be held on Feb. 5th 2011 at Blue Moon Nights in North Hollywood and most of the nominees and previous winners are expected to attend.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

THE THIRD ANNUAL TRANNY AWARDS ARE HERE!

Celebrating the Transgender Adult Industry and those working in it – this year will be the best show and the best awards we’ve done yet.

Changes for this Year:

* Now the fans vote! No more judges, this will be a fan based competition. See The Official Tranny Awards Site for further details.
* New category added : Up & Cummer.
* Winners to be announced AT the award show.

At the time of this writing, this years event and categories are being sponsored by Grooby Productions, Krissy4u, and Tranny Access with other sponsors being added and announced in the following weeks!

At the minimum there will be at least $8000 of awards up for grabs … but before we can vote on who the winners will be, we need the nominations!

Anybody can add a nomination – you may nominate for as many people/releases in any category (separate by a comma) but don’t spam over and over, as it will have no bearing on it.

Rules:
1. Model or Performer categories had to appear in at least one production that was filmed in 2010.
2. Websites must have been active for minimum 4 months in 2010.
3. Best DVD and Best DVD Director must be for a DVD released in 2010.
4. Best Up & Cummer is for a model who made a debut on a paysite in 2010.

Nominations close on 23rd December 2010.

Ok all the judges decisions are in. Up until this point, the judges have been unknown to anybody but myself. Each judge, did not know who the other judge was.
Many thanks to all 6 judges for taking part and taking their time to watch and rate in each category, it was not the easiest job.

In the event of a tie break of equal points, the nominee who had the most number 1 positions will be the winner.

Still showing how relevant DVD’s are, every nominee on this list, is a killer DVD. Each judge was sent a copy of the DVD for their viewing. It was an extremely close finish.
