• Buck Angel wins AVN “Best Transsexual Performer”.

  In a shock turn of events, crowd favourite Danielle Foxx lost out to female to male transsexual Buck Angel, or “Man with a Pussy” at the 2007 AVN Awards.

  

  A move which is sure to irritate fans of transsexual porn whose favourite divas failed to get a nomination or secure a win, is being called “un-necessary publicity” and a “stunt” by some outraged fans.

  Tattoo’d and pierced Angel burst onto the porn scene in 2003 with his website Transsexual Man and was the first male to female transsexual working in the adult industry. Many thought it was a joke at first or a fad but he’s appeared in a number of his own productions, as well guest appearances with other perfomers and his DVD’s have sold exceptionally well, in a market which he has made his own.
  Buck Angel been featured on The Howard Stern Show, Bizarre Magazine and won numerous awards and credits. In 2006, Buck seemed to be ubiquitous with DVD titles playing up the man with the pussy, such as “Buck’s Beaver”, “Buck Fever” and “Buck Off”. He appeared in the inaugral Allanah Starr DVD “Big Boob Adventures” in which the larger than life, shemale Allanah fucks Buck Angel - a male to female, fucking a female to male. A new niche!

  Another shemale, no stranger to publicity herself,Wendy Williams starred with Buck in “Buck Fever”.

  I’ve met Buck on a number of occassions, the first time at a night out with the delicious Saigon Lee, in Peanuts (Club 7969) in West Hollywood, we’d been drinking and chatting for hours before he told me he was a female to male, I was totally dumbfounded. I’ve since met him at the AVN show and had sporadic contact but we were the first mainstream style site (if a tranny site can be a mainstream site) on Shemale Yum to promote Buck, as a transsexual (although having no place on the site to put him he had to go into the post-op galleries … but hey you all have pussies Buck!).

  He’s a totally cool dude, he’s all male and I know he had more testesterone in the AVN awards than most of the regular male performers there. I’m sure there are a few snapped heels and outraged diva’s in Las Vegas tonight as I’m sure the faceless contributors to many tgirl forums will spit their venom.

  Buck Angel is a transsexual - and he’s a fantastic performer who is one of the only original people in any type of adult entertainment. The AVN Award is for “Best Transsexual Performer” - and he fits into that category without a doubt. An award that has only been won a few times before, by Vaniity, Vicki Richter and the 2006 winner, Gia Darling. Maybe AVN will have to split the award into “Best Female to Male Performer” and “Best Male to Female Performer” but for now, congratulations Buck Angel. You are a star!

• Internet Shemale Superstar Domy goes post-op?

  Domy or Dominique, the long time webmistress of http://www.brazilian-transsexuals.com has announced that she had SRS procedures in Brazil two months ago. This may come as a shock to many fans of shemales on a number of websites or forums as she often appears as a highly sexed and agressive top, performing with men, women and other transsexuals.

  Domy appeared in an early Joey Silvera Rogue Adventures release but in 1999 she was photographed by Louie Damazo for his website, Brazilian-Transsexuals. Her teen cuteness and bubbly personality won members over fast and although the website was at the time, hosted by a transsexual performer called Gretta, Domy’s popularity soon encourage the owners to ask her to come on board as a full time webmistress. Apart from a brief sabbatical when she was working in Europe, she’s been the fulltime webmistress for that site, answering members questions in their forum, taking opinions and suggestions for future shoots (as well as doing some specific fan request shoots) and shooting and shooting over 45 sets for Grooby websites.

  What set Domy’s photoshoots apart was not only the creativity of the themes which ranged from a Domy Oriental (Kimino), Demonique (devilish) to CyberDomy (borg-like costume) and Domynant (S&M) was the vigour in which she got into the photoshoots and videos, whether with other male performers or other Brazilian transsexuals including Dany (Danielle) Evangelista, Patty Bionda and Natasha Dummond.

  Domy is unsure at this point whether she will continue as a performer or seek other avenues but will remain as the webmistress of brazilian-transsexuals.com in the interim.

  We at Grooby Productions wish her all the luck and success with her recovery from surgery and her new life as the woman she wanted to be.

  

• The Asian Invasion!

  While there are plenty of sites out their showcasing Asians mainly from Thailand and the Philippines (although our own site Ladyboy Ladyboy often travels further afield to Indonesia and Malaysia) and often missed out area are the multitude of awesome Asian American (or Asian Canadian) transsexuals which may be a mixture of different races or 2nd, 3rd or more generation Americans.

  The look of these tgirls is completely different from their Asian cousins still in Asia. A girl only seems to have to be in the West a few months before the hair, makeup and clothes change and they have a spunkier, sassier and less demure attitude that appeals to many.

  Shemale Yum has always had a policy of showing models from various races and ethnic background but it seems that more Asian-Americans are coming out of the woodwork and with models like the superb Yasmin Lee having prominance in the industry, it can only help more decide to show themselves off.Here are some recent models, including Canadians Mystique, Tia and Rane (Filipino), Sadie (Malay), Katrina and hot Filipino from Boston and mixed race Mei from California.

  This update was always intended to be a Sexy Jade special. Not only because I had to encourage her into doing another shoot with us when she has her own site, Sexxxyjade.com which is doing very well and is probably the best out of the solo black girls websites … not only because Shemale Sistas only the Dark Meat in which she stars, came out this week and not only because we think we’ve just manage to talk her into doing a Buddy Wood all black girl DVD but simply because I think she’s great.I met Jade on a trip to New Orleans with Frank and Steve a few years back, she brought the lovely Amie who was cute but a bit of a handful, Jade however was just cool, friendly and the sort of girl you can have a conversation with.   As a footnote, although we’ve had this special update planned for Jade for about three months, we heard her house burned to the ground last week. I asked her for permission to post this bit of personal information and she made it clear, to state that she is NOT looking for charity or handouts of any type. She’s ready to work and we’re lining her up for some new projects and I’m sure there is a line of webmasters and video makers who can always use more of her.
