• Groobybucks sponsors The Phoenix Forum

  At the behest of CCBill, VP Douglas Wicks, I finally made it to The Phoenix Forum, in Scottsdale, AZ last April and pleasantly discovered a meeting in which adult webmasters, far from being secretive about their marketing and sales techniques were only too happy to share them. As far as I can ascertain, we were the only representation from the transsexual sector even though practically every other genre a sub-genre was there.

  This year, GroobyBucks is sponsoring the forum. We will be promoting our excellent affiliate program as well as the whole shemale genre. Our motto for the show will be “Sell Shemale” and we will be pushing our own sites as well as other sites where we get a webmasters, affiliate sale.

  I feel that the transgender market hasn’t been fully embraced by webmasters working in the other fetishes. If somebody specialises in “teen” then they should try selling a page of teen shemales. The cross-over from straight Black sites to Black Tgirls has been tested and documented, Asian sites should give ladyboy sites a try. Practically every genre and fetish in straight porn, has it’s like in transsexual porn - from ethnic diversities, to S&M, gaping, blondes, girl next door, goths, etc. and every webmaster promoting straight porn owes it to himself to try some crossover pages in the transsexual/shemale market. It converts and it retains.

  I urge all webmasters, whether new to the game or industry stalwarts, to invest a couple of days at this Forum. After nine years in the industry, I thought I knew it all … until I wentt to last years Forum. I spent the remainder of 2006 developing ideas given at the Forum and improving on what I discovered was our much lacking affiliate program. The value of knowledge I was given, for free, last year, does have a dollar amount - it’s the amount that sales have risen above the norm in 2006.

• A ladyboy in Brazil?

  Where is the largest population of Japanese outside Japan? It’s not a trick question (or a trick answer), it’s Brazil. The country of BBQ, the Amazon, favella’s, latin music and big big asses on the girls and the shemales is also home to massive population of Japanese, many who have lived here for generations. It’s somewhat dissapointing, given the amount of tgirls in Brazil - and given how good Japanese new-halfs look that over the ten years we’ve been shooting only three Asian or part-Asian shemales have worked for us from Brazil. • Shemale.com domain sells for $520k

  At an online auction, Wednesday, industry giants Pussycash.com bought the domain name, Shemale.com for $520,000.

  Pussycash has a few cookie cutter style websites in the transgender area but whether they will invest further into transsexual sites with the use of this domain, or use it has a domain to bring in traffic to their existing projects is unknown.

  If only I had, had the insight to purchase it back in the day…

• Buck Angel wins AVN “Best Transsexual Performer”.

  In a shock turn of events, crowd favourite Danielle Foxx lost out to female to male transsexual Buck Angel, or “Man with a Pussy” at the 2007 AVN Awards.

  

  A move which is sure to irritate fans of transsexual porn whose favourite divas failed to get a nomination or secure a win, is being called “un-necessary publicity” and a “stunt” by some outraged fans.

  Tattoo’d and pierced Angel burst onto the porn scene in 2003 with his website Transsexual Man and was the first male to female transsexual working in the adult industry. Many thought it was a joke at first or a fad but he’s appeared in a number of his own productions, as well guest appearances with other perfomers and his DVD’s have sold exceptionally well, in a market which he has made his own.
  Buck Angel been featured on The Howard Stern Show, Bizarre Magazine and won numerous awards and credits. In 2006, Buck seemed to be ubiquitous with DVD titles playing up the man with the pussy, such as “Buck’s Beaver”, “Buck Fever” and “Buck Off”. He appeared in the inaugral Allanah Starr DVD “Big Boob Adventures” in which the larger than life, shemale Allanah fucks Buck Angel - a male to female, fucking a female to male. A new niche!

  Buck Angel is a transsexual - and he’s a fantastic performer who is one of the only original people in any type of adult entertainment. The AVN Award is for “Best Transsexual Performer” - and he fits into that category without a doubt. An award that has only been won a few times before, by Vaniity, Vicki Richter and the 2006 winner, Gia Darling. Maybe AVN will have to split the award into “Best Female to Male Performer” and “Best Male to Female Performer” but for now, congratulations Buck Angel. You are a star!
